Kent District Library Grandville Branch has newly acquired the ability to hang art in two of their areas. The first two Rivertown artists to exhibit there are Linda Bumstead and Nancy Sackrison. Their exhibit will hang until March 1, 2025. Stop by and see this new venue added to our display and see the art that Linda and Nancy have hung there. Inside the library proper is Nancy Sackrison’s art.  Then, on the other side of the fireplace, in the foyer by the community rooms is Linda Bumstead’s art. This is an exciting addition to our list of venues, so be sure to say something to the Library staff if you stop by.

Dale Olsen demo

Dale Olsen is visiting the area and will be giving us a fun and informative demonstration in how he goes about developing a painting, including when working plein air.  Dale’s  landscapes have been included in the inaugural exhibition of Oil Painters of America and been awarded an honorable mention for landscape by the Artist's Magazine.

 There is also an opportunity to support the VanAndel Institute’s Art For a Cure, Silent art auction.  Proceeds will go to VAI focusing on Cancer and Parkinson’s Disease.  If you would like to donate art for the cause, fill out the application at https://forms.vai.org/art-submission-2025-art-for-a-cure/ Deadline for the art auction is Wed.
